Rewiring

We don't mess around -
everything's done with laser precision!
The ideal time for a full rewire is when a property is empty, especially if you’ve just purchased a property, or are planning other renovation work.
It allows us to work efficiently with minimal disruption, and you get the chance to position everything exactly how you want it.
Full Rewires
A full rewire means replacing all of the electrical wiring in your home, including sockets, switches, light fittings, and the consumer unit. It’s usually recommended if the existing wiring is very old, has been tampered with over the years, simply doesn’t meet current standards or even if the layout just doesn't work for you. Common signs that a rewire might be necessary include green residue (verdigris) seeping from old switches or sockets, black rubber cabling visible near the fusebox, or old black Bakelite-style switches and fittings - all indicators that your wiring is likely well out of date. When you contact us, we’ll start with an initial assessment, then work with you to plan exactly what you need. During the rewire, we’ll: ✔ Safely disconnect and remove old cabling ✔ Chase out walls for new wiring routes ✔ Install new back boxes, sockets, switches and lighting ✔ Fit a modern consumer unit with RCD protection and surge protection (see our Fusebox page for more info) ✔ Fully test, certify and notify building control through Part-P notification. It’s a messy job, which is why full rewires are best done before plastering and decorating, and ideally while the property is empty. But once it’s done, your home is significantly safer, more efficient, and much easier to live in.

Kitchen Renovation

Kitchens and Bathrooms
Not every property needs a full rewire. In many cases, only certain areas of a home need attention - especially if you're renovating a kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom. A partial rewire allows us to safely upgrade specific circuits without disturbing the rest of the property. It's a practical way to bring high-use areas up to modern standards without the cost or disruption of a full rewire. We can help with: ✔ Kitchen rewires during refits ✔ Bathroom electrics ✔ Replacing faulty or unsafe circuits without rewiring the whole house We'll carefully assess the condition of your existing wiring and advise on the safest and most cost-effective way forward. If a full rewire isn't necessary, we won't suggest it.

60 year old Fusebox
in Milton Keynes
Do I Need a Rewire?
If your fusebox looks like this, there’s a good chance the wiring behind your walls is even older and well overdue for an upgrade. A full rewire brings your electrics up to current safety standards, reducing fire risk and making sure everything is properly protected. It also gives you the chance to get things set up exactly how you want them - with sockets, switches, TV and data points positioned where you actually need them. It’s also the perfect time to change how your home is lit, many people choose to install downlights instead of standard ceiling pendants for a cleaner, more modern look.
Smaller Additions
Not every job needs to be a big one. We’re happy to help with small electrical jobs that make a real difference to how you use your space. These are ideal if you’re decorating a room, rearranging furniture, or just want to change your layout without going for a full or partial rewire. We regularly carry out: ✔ Adding or relocating sockets and switches ✔ Moving light switches to a more convenient spot ✔ Replacing light fittings, internal and external ✔ Adding TV points, data cabling or USB sockets ✔ Swapping old pendant lights for downlights Whether it’s a single room or just a few tweaks around the house, we’ll get it done cleanly and safely – often in just a few hours.
