When is a new circuit needed?

If you’re adding a new appliance, extending your home, or just running out of sockets, you may need a new electrical circuit. We install safe, compliant circuits that are properly rated for the job, whether it’s for a hot tub, shower, garden room, or something else.
What's involved?
Here’s how the process works: ✓ Step 1 - Site Visit & Assessment We’ll visit your property to assess what’s needed. We’ll look at the existing consumer unit, available space, cable routes, and the power requirements of whatever you’re installing. ✓ Step 2 - Clear Quotation After the visit, we’ll send over a no-obligation quote outlining the work, materials, and any options (like surface vs. hidden cabling, or fusebox upgrades if needed). ✓ Step 3 - Booking the Work Once you’re happy to go ahead, we’ll agree a convenient date and time. Most new circuits can be installed within a day. ✓ Step 4 - Installation We’ll install the new circuit carefully and neatly, choosing the best cable route depending on your property and preferences - for example, under floors, in loft spaces, or in surface-mounted conduit if access is limited. ✓ Step 5 - Fusebox Upgrades (if needed) If your existing fusebox doesn’t have space or isn’t up to current standards, we’ll talk you through your options and upgrade it as part of the job if required. ✓ Step 6 - Testing & Certification Once installed, we’ll carry out full testing to ensure the new circuit is safe and compliant. You’ll receive an electrical certificate and building control certificate for your records.

All new circuit installations are carried out in line with the latest UK Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and Part P of the Building Regulations. As registered electricians, we notify Building Control where required and provide the appropriate electrical installation certificate on completion. This means the work is fully traceable, meets legal safety standards, and won’t cause issues if you sell or rent your property in future.
